Methodology
How every number on this site gets verified — and how to tell when we're wrong.
We earn commissions when you shop through the links below.
1. Sources: official pages only
Every claim on Free Cloud Zone is checked against the provider's own official pricing or documentation page — never a blog, aggregator, or third-party summary. Each entry in our data registry lists its exact source URL so anyone can re-check us in one click.
2. Dated verification stamps
Every provider row carries a ✓ verified YYYY-MM-DD badge showing when that entry was last checked against its source. Free tiers change constantly (new credit systems, removed plans, quota rebalancing) — the stamp tells you how fresh a claim is. We do full-cycle verification passes across all 69 entries, and spot-check on every article publication.
3. Corrections are public
Free-tier terms are some of the fastest-moving pricing in software, and providers occasionally keep marketing pages that lag their real plans. When we find a stale claim, we fix the data and record the correction in a public changelog — see What We've Corrected. We believe a site that documents its own fixes is more reliable than one that silently edits.
4. What we do and don't claim
- We track: what the official free tier currently offers — limits, quotas, expiry windows, credit systems.
- We don't track: promotional time-limited offers not available to new users at signup, or "ask sales" pricing that isn't published.
- Caveats noted: when a plan says "free" but pauses after inactivity (e.g., Render), expires (Fly.io trial), or runs on a credit pool (Netlify, Railway), we say so in the entry and the articles.
5. Funding & independence
Free Cloud Zone is reader-supported: some provider links are affiliate links (see our disclosure), and we may earn a commission when you sign up through them — at no cost to you. Affiliate status never changes a data entry or a ranking; the tables are ordered by category value, not by who pays. Revenues keep the site free, ad-free, and independently maintained by the editorial team.
6. Report an error
Found something stale or wrong? The fastest path is a message to @FreeCloudZone on X. Include the provider name and what you observed on the official page; we verify and correct within the next cycle, and log it in the corrections changelog.
